William G. (Bill) Palamar has been the Executive Director for the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA) since July 2010. Bill’s enthusiastic leadership has engaged the CCHRA staff and provincial member associations, developing a national collaborative environment to gain strength in CCHRA and the CHRP designation.
Bill is an ex-officio member of the CCHRA Board and committees and actively involved with the major initiatives and activities that support CCHRA’s strategic plan. His passion for volunteerism, community and the diversity of the Canadian federation aligns with CCHRA’s core values of integrity, innovation and collaboration.
Previously employed by Scouts Canada, Bill’s position there grew to National Director of Human Resources. With 20 years of experience in business and human resources leadership, organizational development, financial management, and marketing and communications Bill’s commitment to leveraging his skills to the betterment of the HR profession has been demonstrated through numerous volunteer roles with the CCHRA, the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPA) and the HR Council for the Voluntary and Non-Profit Sector, as well providing HR management courses and seminars.
Bill graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Social Work and York University with a Bachelor of Arts.
